LocalGap AI (“LocalGap,” “we,” “us”) is a local-business competitor analysis tool operated by Ai2Metric. This policy explains what information we collect when you use localgap.ai2metric.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you run an analysis, you give us a business name, Yelp page, or website URL. We use this only to identify the business and generate your competitive report. You don’t need an account, and we don’t ask for personal information to use the tool.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect basic usage data through Google Analytics 4 — such as the pages you visit, your approximate (city-level) location, device and browser type, and how you interact with the site. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies.
How we use information
- To provide the competitive analysis you request.
- To understand how the tool is used and improve it.
- To keep the service secure and reliable.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
To produce your report and run the site, we share limited data with trusted providers, each of which processes it under its own terms:
- Google Places — the business and location details you enter are sent to Google to find and verify nearby competitors (Google Privacy Policy).
- OpenAI — business and competitor data is processed by OpenAI’s API to generate the written report (OpenAI Privacy Policy).
- Yelp — when enabled, used to enrich ratings and review excerpts.
- Google Analytics — for the usage analytics described above (how Google uses data).
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (such as _ga) to measure traffic and usage. You can:
- Opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Data retention
We don’t maintain user accounts and don’t permanently store the businesses you analyze. Analysis results are cached only briefly to improve performance, then discarded. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the California CCPA/CPRA or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, and to opt out of certain processing. Because we don’t maintain accounts, most of what we hold is anonymous analytics. To make a request, contact us below.
Children
LocalGap is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above.
